Jacksonville, FL, August 9-10, 2006- On Thursday, August 10th, make miracles happen as Dairy Queen hosts the first-ever North American "Miracle Treat Day!" Bring your friends and families to a participating Dairy Queen and buy a Blizzard treat. Local participating Dairy Queen locations will donate all Blizzard treat proceeds to Children’s Miracle Network benefiting Shands Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Since 1984, Dairy Queen has raised over $59 million for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, touching the lives of millions of sick and injured kids across North America. All funds raised by Dairy Queen store locations stay in the local community and benefit children treated at the closest Children’s Miracle Network hospital.

Children’s Miracle Network is dedicated to improving health and welfare of all children by raising funds and awareness for the pediatric programs at Shands Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Hospital. The founding principle of Children’s Miracle Network is that all funds raised stay locally to improve the health care for children in the community.
