Celebrities Take a Swing for Kids
JACKSONVILLE, FL, March 6, 2007- The 15th annual Club Managers for Kids golf tournament will be swinging full of stardom as both local and national celebrities join the Florida Chapter of the Club Mangers Association of America at Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra on Monday, March 12.
The playing field for this unique golf tournament will provide multiple opportunities for both business and pleasure. Join Gerry James, the World Champ Longest Hitter, for a clinic on the driving range at Marsh Landing Country Club at 9:30 a.m. to perfect your swing before the shotgun start at 10:00 a.m.
Take the chance to have one of these athletes on your foursome for a round of golf on Monday, March 12: Calvin Peete, 11 time PGA Tour winner as well as United States Ryder Cup participant; Donovin Darius, safety for the Jacksonville Jaguars; Rashean Mathis, cornerback for the Jacksonville Jaguars; or Eugene Chung, former NFL player.
Tune into News 4 Jax to see local anchor and supporter, Sam Kouvaris as he tee’s it up as a celebrity golfer for the kids. Or listen to the action live on 930AM with David Lamm and Joe Cowart before they hit the course as celebrity players.
All funds from these two special events will benefit Children’s Miracle Network and Special Olympics. We would like to extend a special thank-you to this year’s Title Sponsor, Swisher International and Tee Gift Sponsor, R-G Crown Bank.
