The search for America's Most Photogenic Baby is coming to Jacksonville.  Infants thru 5 year-olds can participate in the following categories: Precious - Comical - Beautiful.  Parents can enter by bringing their baby for a professional modeling photo shoot to the Orange Park Mall on January 7-10.  For more details, visit www.photogenicbaby.com.

99.9 Gator Country Radiothon

Mark your calendar and tune in to the 2010 99.9 Gator Country Radiothon presented by Foresters!  Steve, Eden and Amadeus from Your Hometown Morning Show will be broadcasting live Thursday, January 28 from the lobby of Wolfson Children's Hospital and Friday, January 29 from Shands Jacksonville.

Then, on Saturday, January 30, join 99.9 Gator Country, Burkins Chevrolet in Macclenny and Foresters for Big Kenny and Houston County live at Mavericks at the Landing. Tickets are just $5 at the door and all money goes to the Children's Miracle Network.

The search for America's Most Photogenic Baby came to Jacksonville in January.  This is your chance to vote for the Most Beautiful, Most Comical, Most Precious and Most Fashionable!  Voting on the photographs will be open to the public.  Vote tickets are 50¢ each - Vote at the Orange Park Mall on February 5-6.  For more details, visit www.photogenicbaby.com.

IHOP National Pancake Day

Be a part of pancake history as IHOP serves up FREE pancakes in celebration of National Pancake Day on Feb. 23, 2010!  From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at IHOP restaurants across the country, families and friends can enjoy a free short stack of IHOP’s famous buttermilk pancakes, and in turn, make a donation to IHOP’s national charity partner, Children’s Miracle Network.  All of the funds raised locally will benefit the pediatric programs at Shands Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Hospital.  You can also show your support by purchasing a $1.00 or $5.00 Miracle balloon while at the restaurant.  We hope to see you there!  For more information, or to find a participating IHOP location by you,Click here.

Dance Marathon at the University of North Florida

On November 20-21, University of North Florida students will spend 17 hours and 3 minutes on their feet dancing, hanging out, playing with Miracle Children and having the time of their lives! Funds raised by annual event will benefit Children’s Miracle Network and the pediatric programs at Shands Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Local Miracle Children who have been treated at both hospitals will attend and share their stories with students who help to support such a great cause. Florida Telco Festival of Lights 5k & 1 Mile Family Fun Run

Winter is upon us, and that means it’s time once again to lace up the jingle bells on your running shoes and get ready for the 13th Annual Florida Telco Festival of Lights!  Luminaries will light up the streets of beautiful San Marco as runners take to the path during the Florida Telco Festival of Lights 5K Run and family fun run on Saturday, December 5, 2009.  Participants will race into this holiday season with jingle bells on their shoes and jolly ole' St. Nick at their side! 

New this year, the San Marco Merchant Association and Southside Baptist Church have partnered with Children’s Miracle Network to combine Festival of Lights and San Marco Holiday Magic! Bring your entire family to enjoy all of the festivities, including a Kids Fun Run, Food Lion Kids Zone with bounce houses, arts and crafts and much more! The adults will enjoy a Food Zone, music, as well as the 5K run where everyone from the novice runner to dedicated walkers enjoy the carolers as they wind their way through the historic streets of San Marco. 

All of the festivities will be held within San Marco Square.  Holiday Magic will begin at 5:00pm, followed by the Fun Run at 5:30pm and the 5K Race at 6:00pm.  Both the 5K and Fun Run will start and end in San Marco Square.  Please note that this is a new location.
