On Saturday, April 17, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals will host the 20th Annual Medicine & Miracles dinner. During this event, guests will gather in downtown Jacksonville along the beautiful St. Johns River for an evening of live music, auctions and Miracle stories.
*Although this will be an outdoor event, face masks will be required.
WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
CMN member hospitals are available 24 hours a day to help kids of every age and background overcome every injury and illness imaginable. These children’s hospitals are also on the front lines preventing disease and injury through research, education and outreach programs that keep millions of kids out of the hospital each year. The hospitals rely on donations and community support to fill funding gaps and provide the best care for kids.
LOCAL IMPACT
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals takes pride in keeping funds within the community in which they are raised. Therefore, donations given in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia stay local to support UF Health Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Proceeds from the Medicine & Miracle event will help provide much-needed funding for the purchase of life-saving pediatric medical equipment, critical healthcare services, educational resources and Child Life supplies.
HELP KIDS LIKE JOEJOE
JoeJoe is a two-time cancer survivor whose medical journey began at just four days old when he was diagnosed with Transient Myeloproliferative Disorder, a blood disorder that runs in Down Syndrome children. Four days after his second birthday, JoeJoe’s arms and legs stopped working and he was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. He immediately began an aggressive chemotherapy treatment which knocked out his immune system. After 72 hours of this treatment, his appendix ruptured and he was rushed into surgery. Today, JoeJoe is a 16-year-old who has undergone more than 60 surgeries. He has an infectious love for life and spreads happiness and joy to everyone he meets.
