National Events Benefits Local Hospitals

JACKSONVILLE, FL, September 13, 2007– VyStar Credit Union is teaming up with credit unions from around the country to support the Cherry Blossom Ten-Mile Run in Washington, D.C.  All funds raised at the event benefit Children’s Miracle Network. This unique event allows credit unions from all around the country to support their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. VyStar’s $6,000 donation will go to support the pediatric programs of Shands Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Hospital.

VyStar members can get involved too. You can give your donation at any VyStar location or you can go to the Credit Union Miracle Day web site. There you’ll find registration information and a quick donation link. If you can’t be in Washington for the race, you can still make a difference. The Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10-Mile Run is a world-renowned race and has raised $2.5 million since 2002. Join in the race, donate at VyStar locations or online and get involved in this great national event that’s making a big difference for local kids!
