Miracles of Monumental Size Made in May

JACKSONVILLE, FL, June 2007– One Warehouse, Two Hospitals, Hundreds of Associates, Thousands of Patrons, Priceless Miracles.  COSTCO Wholesale off of Gate Parkway hit recorded breaking numbers as they nearly tripled their fundraising efforts during the month of May to benefit Children’s Miracle Network.  Raising a little over $7,000 in 2006, COSTCO teamed together in 2007 with the goal of doubling their funds raised to $14,000.  With an end result of over $20,000 COSTCO far exceeded their goal.

They took the cause to heart thus touching the lives and hearts of the children of our community.  From paper balloon sales to their first annual Chicken Nugget eating contest held amongst the associates, they had fun while raising the funds.  “Their dedication and excitement is what makes it unique.  They are truly a team and it shines through.  Not only do they get all of the associates involved but they make the customers feel like an integral part of their team,” remarked Nicole Ortman, Director Children’s Miracle Network.        

Children’s Miracle Network is dedicated to improving the health and welfare of all children by raising funds and awareness for the pediatric programs at Shands Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Hospital. The funds raised for Children’s Miracle Network will stay local to improve the health care for children in the community.
